Rarity determines spawn rate and base XP. Common = 50 XP, Uncommon = 75 XP, Rare = 100 XP, Epic = 150 XP. Insane Brainrots are the rarest with only 1 spawn in specific zones.

How do I catch higher rarity Brainrots?

You need upgraded Rot Boxes. Better Rot Boxes increase your catch success rate against Rare and Epic Brainrots. You also need to progress to later zones.

Is there a secret "Illegal" Brainrot?

There are community rumors about an "Illegal Brainrot" not listed on official boards. As of 2026-07-29, it is not obtainable in-game.

What are the best abilities?

Grow a Garden (5 Energy) is widely considered the best. Shield (2E), Bomb (4E), and Heal (2E) are also top-tier. Abilities are assigned randomly per catch.
